Your First Visit With Us? What To Expect

At Turning Point Family Chiropractic

Your first visit is not a quick adjustment or a rushed appointment. It’s the beginning of a personalized, corrective care plan designed to help you move better, feel better, and function at a higher level — whether you’re dealing with pain, posture issues, sports injuries, pregnancy changes, or caring for your family’s long-term health.

We proudly serve Woodstock, Towne Lake, Holly Springs, Roswell, and East Cobb, and many of our patients travel to us because they want detailed, thoughtful care, not cookie-cutter chiropractic.

Step 1 — A Warm Welcome & Listening First

From the moment you walk in, our focus is on you. We begin by taking time to understand:

  • Where you’re experiencing pain or tension
  • Your health goals (pain relief, posture correction, sports performance, pregnancy support, family wellness)
  • Your lifestyle — work demands, athletics, stress, posture habits, and daily routines
  • Every person’s body tells a different story. We believe listening comes before adjusting.

Step 2 — Comprehensive, Hands-On Assessment

Your first visit includes a thorough evaluation focused on how your body is functioning, not just where it hurts.

This includes:

  • A detailed spinal and postural assessment
  • Evaluation of movement, flexibility, and joint function
  • Neurological and orthopedic testing when appropriate
  • Review of past injuries, habits, and stress patterns

If clinically indicated, spinal X-rays may be recommended to better understand alignment, structure, and safety before beginning care. X-rays are never automatic and are only used when they add value to your specific case.

Step 3 — Establishing a Clear Baseline

Everything we assess helps us establish a baseline so we can:

  • Identify patterns contributing to pain or dysfunction
  • Track progress objectively over time
  • Build a care plan specific to your body and your goals
  • This is a cornerstone of corrective care. We don’t guess, and we don’t generalize.

Step 4 — Your Report of Findings (The Most Important Visit)

Your Report of Findings visit is scheduled shortly after your initial exam and is where clarity truly begins.

During this visit, we:

  • Review your exam findings in clear, easy-to-understand language
  • Explain why your symptoms are happening
  • Connect posture, movement, stress, and lifestyle to what we found
  • Outline a personalized care plan focused on correction, stability, and long-term function

You’ll never feel pressured. You’ll leave informed, confident, and empowered to decide what’s right for you.

What Makes Turning Point Different:

Patients choose us because we are not a one-size-fits-all office. We focus on root cause, not just symptom relief. Care plans are tailored for athletes, families, pregnant moms, and kids. We emphasize posture, movement, and nervous system health. We prioritize education so you understand your body, not just your schedule. We take pride in being detailed, thorough, and family-friendly.

Many of our patients come to us from Towne Lake, Holly Springs, Roswell, and East Cobb because they want care that’s thoughtful, corrective, and built for long-term results.
